Disability Employment Initiative
This is an online resource destination to support the 12 grantees implementing the Disability Employment Initiative (DEI). Throughout the country, there are approximately 45 Disability Resource Coordinators serving on the front lines in coordination with State Project Leads to help strengthen the capacity of American Job Centers to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
We sincerely welcome all visitors to this site in an effort to highlight the work we do and promote the lessons learned from this initiative. This site is broken down into three key parts:
- DEI Grant Information – Link to DEI grant information. This includes the DEI Fact Sheet, DEI State Map, DEI Grantee Abstracts, DEI State Project Lead Contact List, DEI National Liaison Contact List, and DEI Best Practices Highlights.
- DEI Front Line Resources for State Project Leads – State Project Leads oversee the administration of the DEI grant at the state-level. This link includes resources to support State Project Leads to implement the grant initiatives.
- DEI Front Line Resources for Disability Resource Coordinators – Disability Resource Coordinators (DRCs) work with local and state leadership to carry out the grant goals and objectives. This link includes front-line resources to support DRCs in their everyday work.
