Partnership on Employment & Accessible Technology

For many AJCs, addressing accessible technology issues may be new territory. With that in mind, two technical assistance centers sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) partnered to create this guide. It is designed to promote the importance of information and communication technology (ICT) accessibility issues and point out helpful “how to” resources to help AJCs ensure that their ICT is accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. It also includes an Appendix featuring a glossary of commonly used definitions and acronyms.

This guide includes the following sections:
  • Why AJCs Should Care About Accessible Technology
  • How to Get Started: Promising and Emerging Accessible Technology Practices for AJCs
  • Where to Find Accessible Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Tools and Resources
  • Appendix A - Definitions and Acronyms
