On June 15th, the President announced
plans to expand apprenticeships and vocational training, close the skills gap
and reduce regulatory burdens on workforce development programs in the United
States.
The president signed an executive order to
remove federal restrictions and expand access to apprenticeships across all
industries, helping more Americans have access to an affordable education and a
good-paying job. The Executive Order, Expanding
Apprenticeships in America, states that expanding apprenticeships and reforming
ineffective education and workforce development programs will help address
identified issues, enabling more Americans to obtain relevant skills and
high-paying jobs.
