EARN'S Section 501 Info Center

Employer Assistance and Resource Network (EARN) on Disability Inclusion hosts this Section 501 Info Center. Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act prohibits federal agencies from discriminating against qualified people with disabilities in employment and requires them to take proactive steps to recruit and retain them. 

Recently, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued updates strengthening Section 501, and EARN is pleased to partner with EEOC to help federal agencies understand and achieve their goals under them. The Section 501 InfoCenter centralizes a range of tools and resources, including a basic primer on the changes, a fact sheet and policy brief, and frequently asked questions. It also includes a brief history of Federal Government disability employment efforts.
