Indiana DEI Quick Guide for Federal Contractors on Section 503


The Indiana Department of Workforce Development's Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) has created a Quick Guide for Federal Contractors on Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act. .

This Quick Guide has been approved by the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Section 503 prohibits federal contractors and subcontractors from discriminating in employment against individuals with disabilities, and requires these employers to take affirmative action to recruit, hire, promote and retain these individuals. The Quick Guide includes information on the new OFCCP requirements regarding the hiring of individuals with disabilities, Q & A's, resources, and other information that is pertinent to Federal contractors and their subcontractors
