This DEI Grantee Learning Opportunity provides an introduction and overview of the Disability Employment Initiative for the new Round VIII Grantees awarded in October 2017.


The presenters, David Jones (national DEI Program Office), Jimmie Curtis (DOL Office of Grants Management), and Miranda Kennedy and Laura Gleneck (DEI Technical Assistance Team) will provide a national level overview and share insights as well as the history and evolution of the DEI. The meta-level connection between DEI and WIOA will be addressed, along with a front line overview of top start-up and implementation challenges and reporting requirements. We will also be clarifying roles and responsibilities of the Federal Project Officers (FPOs) and the national Technical Assistance provider, NDI Consulting, Inc.
