On the Innovation and Opportunity Network Community of Practice, you can quickly find all of the latest Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Implementation Training Resources in 11 focus areas, as identified by the US Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.  These resources are primarily developed for national, state, and local workforce system professionals.

The List of Focus Areas includes:
  • All About WIOA:  An overview of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and key regulations and sub-regulatory guidance
  • Financial Grants Management:  An overview of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and key regulations and sub-regulatory guidance
  • One-stops and American Job Centers:  Operational and program resources that support the implementation of the one-stop delivery system, branded as American Job Centers
  • Performance Accountability:  Resources highlighting WIOA impacts on performance indicators for core programs. Includes new measures related to services to employers and postsecondary credential attainment
  • Services to Adult Job Seekers and Workers:  Information and training to support the implementation of key WIOA provisions related to services for job seekers and workers under Title I (the Adult and Dislocated Worker programs)
  • Services to Business and Employers:  Information and training to support the implementation of key WIOA provisions related to employers and businesses
  • Services to Youth:  Information on an integrated service delivery system through which states and local areas can leverage other Federal, state, local, and philanthropic resources to support in-school youth and out-of-school youth
  • State and Local Governance:  Governance of the public workforce system at the state and local level. This includes the membership and functions of state and local workforce development boards
  • System Alignment:  Key foundational strategies (including career pathways, sector strategies, and regionalism) that drive alignment of the workforce system and how it delivers services
  • Target Populations and National Programs:  Information and training to support the implementation of key WIOA provisions related to target populations including those serves by ETA National Programs (e.g. Indian and Native American Programs, National Farmworker Jobs Program)
  • Wagner Peyser Employment Services and Unemployment Insurance:  Information and training to support the implementation of key WIOA provisions related to Wagner-Peyser Employment Services and Unemployment Insurance
